The ELC is no longer accepting applications for 2011/2012 articles. Thank you to all applicants.
The ELC offers two programs to potential articled students. Both positions attract top law grads from across the country.
Shared Articles at the ELC
The ELC established the shared articles position in 2006 with funding from the Tula Foundation. Students in the shared position spend half their articling period at the ELC and half at another firm. Review our ELC Shared Articles Program flyer to learn the benefits of shared articles for both students and law firms. Examples of law firms that have partnered with the ELC to offer shared articles include Ratcliff and Company and Camp Fiorante Matthews in Vancouver, and Woodward & Company and Devlin & Gailus in Victoria.
Full Year Articles at the ELC
Funded since 2008 by the Law Foundation of British Columbia as part of their Public Interest Articling Fellowship Program, the second position offers full year articles at the ELC. It involves working closely with the ELC legal team as well as with lawyers across the province belonging to the ELC Asosciates Program.
