There ought to be a law to fight global warming in BC. Now we’ve written one.

On Wednesday November 22, 7-9pm, come to the unveiling of “The Global Warming Solutions Act,” draft legislation written by UVic’s Environmental Law Clinic for BC to follow California in setting targets to reduce emissions.

Invited panelists to comment on the law are: Derek Thompson, a former BC Deputy Minister of Environment; Harry Swain, a former federal Deputy Minister of Industry and current Executive Director of the Pacific Climate Impacts Centre; and Ted Parsons, Professor of law and environment at the University of Michigan, presently visiting UVic. Public discussion will follow.
