Provincial and Federal Submissions Regarding The Need for Proper Disposal and Recycling of HFCs

Two submissions regarding the management of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) prepared on behalf of World Economic Forum Global Shapers – Vancouver Branch:

  1. Request to the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development for a section 23 performance audit under the Auditor General Act to investigate Canada’s approach, or lack thereof, to the safe recycling and disposal of hydrofluorocarbons;
  2. Request to BC’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change Strategy for an inquiry into compliance with HFC disposal requirements under the Ozone Depleting Substances and Other Halocarbons Regulation.
